Artist Residential Studio Space


CPESpace offers short term artists' residential/studio space for projects. This is an opportunity for working artists to utilize aprox. 300 sq ft, third floor open studio space with Hudson River views and reside in the loft of the converted second floor silent movie theater. A full kitchen is included. If you desire, some of your work may be included in our future group shows.  Review the Castleton 12 show for details. If qualified, you can have access to our new edition to the first floor Print Shop- The Big Unit,  a 30 by 48 Litho/Monotype press plus a" Creative Art 906 " 12 by 36 etching press for a nominal extra fee.  

Free pick up and delivery for Megabus and Amtrack in Albany NY.

We are an artist owned and operated, for profit (small), project and event building restored to the grand era of the early 1900's -16 foot ceilings, 12 foot windows and original hardwood floors- located on the Hudson River seven miles south of Albany NY. 

You may enjoy all this for only $40 per night/person. 

There is nothing comparable to the Fall light and colors of the Hudson River.

Non Toxic Monotype Workshop Oct. 23 and 24

Oct. 23 and 24. Classes are from 10AM to 4PM

Lisa Mackie, an artist and Master-printer, will have a two day class on water-based monotype in October.

About the Workshop
In the class one will examine and experiment with the free, versatile, liquid print processes. One will use nontoxic inks and print on dampened paper through an etching press. The images that will be worked will be sized to about 8 x 12. They will be placed under frosted acetate to create a unique and exciting art works. The goal is of class to learn a new technique to develop a series in "ghost printing." Be sure to review the new non toxic print dvd offered by ArepaDP.com.

Cost and Registration
$300 with overnight stay and meals on the 22nd and 23rd
$200 without overnight stay but does include meals

About the Instructor
Lisa Mackie is an accomplished painter and master printmaker living in New York City. She has an MFA in painting and printmaking from the University of Wisconsin and is currently on the faculty of York College and Queens College in New York and the Center for Contemporary Printmaking in South Norwalk, Ct. She has exhibited widely in national and international exhibitions and is currently represented by the June Kelly Gallery in New York. Arepa DP has produced two educational dvds with her.
